UMS Control Maps

The UMS control maps screen displays the current geographic information system (GIS) control codes and their corresponding MTS control codes.

Important!  The UMS module must be installed for this screen to appear. Only user personas with roles that include the "View Control Maps" grant can view this screen.

The table can be sorted by any column by clicking the desired column header. By default, the table is sorted by GIS code. The table consists of the following columns:

  • GIS code. The GIS code for the UMS control type.
  • UMS code. The code for the UMS control type used by MTS and mapped to the GIS code.
  • Updated date. The date and time the control map was inserted or modified, displayed in local date/time format.
  • Updated by. The MTS user who inserted or modified the control map.

To add a UMS control map, use the following procedure.

Note:  The option to add a control map is available only to user personas with roles that include the "Create and Manage Control Maps" grant.

  1. Click the Add icon () at the bottom of the screen.
  2. In the dialog box that appears, complete the following fields:
    • GIS code. Enter a unique GIS code of up to 50 characters. This code will be converted to upper case when saved.
    • UMS code. From the drop-down menu, select an existing UMS code used by MTS. This code will correspond to the GIS code.
  3. Click Add.

The new control type appears in the UMS control maps table and automatically includes an Updated date value and an Updated by value.
