Selecting a view

Each view provides preset filter to limit the transformers shown in the table and the map by commonly performed tasks. Selecting a prebuilt view allows novice users to view transformers of interest without needing to understand and apply filters. More experienced user may choose to user filter to save time in identifying specific populations.

  1. Open the View menu to select one of the following.

    • Transformers

      • All transformers

      • Transformers with no discrepancies. Location Awareness confirms that the utility definition is correct. No mismatches with GIS data and no suspect properties are detected.

      • Transformers with recommendations. Location Awareness detected mismatches between Location Awareness results and GIS but is confident in the recommended corrections. You can make changes to GIS with little or no additional review.

      • Indeterminate transformer subgroups. Location Awareness has detected discrepancies between Location Awareness and the GIS but cannot confidently recommend a solution. This usually occurs when GIS data is more wrong than right.

    • Discrepancies

      • Tx discrepancies. Select to show only transformers with discrepancies. This selection will filter to transformers with any discrepancy.

      • Phase discrepancies. Transformers with at least one meter-to-transformer discrepancy.

      • Suppressed discrepancies. Select to show only transformers with discrepancies that have been suppressed.

    • Special conditions

      • Long service drop present. Distance between the transformer and the service point exceeds a pre-defined distance. For information about adjusting this setting, see Application configuration.

      • Transformers with no phase references. Transformers with no phase assigned. This occurs when there is no PLC path from the reference phase location to the transformer, so phase angle and label have no reference to the rest of the system.

  2. Open the Division menu to select a division.

Selecting a Division focuses on specific areas in the service territory. This may be an area you are responsible for or it may be used to limit the transformers shown for dashboard performance. This selection persists when you leave the application.

Any selection for Division limits the available results for region and feeder. Selecting All allows all possible selections for Region and Feeder to be seen.

  3. Open the Region menu to select a region that is within the selected division.

Selecting a Region focuses on specific areas in the service territory. This may be an area you are responsible for or it may be used to limit the transformers shown for dashboard performance. This selection persists when you leave the application.

Any selection for region limits the available results for feeder. Selecting All allows all possible selections for feeder.

You can choose to select a region independent of a division or feeder selection.

When a region is selected, if you choose to select a division that the region does not belong to, the region selection is cleared and set to All.

  4. Open the Substation menu to focus on a single substation within the selected region.

When a substation is selected, if you choose to change the division or region to a selection that the substation does not belong to, the feeder selection is cleared and set to All.

  5. Open the Feeder menu to focus on a single feeder that is connected to the selected substation.

When a feeder is selected, if you choose to change the division, region, or substation to a selection that the feeder does not belong to, the feeder selection is cleared and set to All.
