Viewing transformer groups on a table

The Location Awareness - Transformer Groups page's Transformer Groups table provides information about the transformer groups (transformers with connected child service points) identified by Location Awareness on the selected date.

Click a table row to select the transformer group to display on the page's other panels.

Tip: Utilities must provide Master Data Import (MDI) and Distribution Equipment Hierarchy (DEH) data to populate some fields.

  • Transformer Group ID. The internal identifier for a group of service points that are all attached to the same transformer phase, as derived by Location Awareness.

  • Discover Date. The date this group of service points was initially detected or the date Location Awareness detected the most recent change to this group.

  • Number of Service Points. The number of service points identified by Location Awareness as belonging to the same transformer group, such as service points that are connected to the same transformer phase.

  • Transformer ID. The utility identifier for the transformer, derived by comparing the Location Awareness transformer groups against meter-to-transformer connectivity records provided by the utility (DEH) and then selecting the closest match based on the number of matching connected service points. If the GIS correlation percentage is less than the threshold set in the Admin Portal, two dashes (- -) are shown for the Transformer ID.

  • Centroid to Transformer Distance. The distance, in meters, between the GIS coordinates of the transformer ID and the geographic centroid of the GIS coordinates of all the service points connected to it.

  • GIS Correlation %. GIS Correlation = 1.0 - Discrepancy %. This value is null if PercentDiscrepancy is not available.

  • Phase Angle. The phase angle of the meter at the service point.

  • Phase Label. The phase label on the feeder. This label is derived from the measured phase angle and assumes positive rotation.

  • MV Group ID. The internal identifier for the group of transformers that share a common voltage profile, as derived by Location Awareness, indicating that they belong to a common point of voltage regulation, either at the MV feeder level or at the MV substation bank level.

  • Feeder or Substation Bank ID. The utility identifier for the MV feeder or the MV substation bank, as derived by Location Awareness by comparing its own MV groups against transformer-to-MV-feeder and transformer-to-MV-substation-bank connectivity records provided by the utility (DEH) and selecting the closest match based on the number of matching connected transformers.

  • MV Equipment Type. Indicates whether the closest match for an MV group is with an MV feeder or an MV substation bank.
