Notifications
When an agent experiences behavioral events or alarms, it sends them upstream to the EAC. The EAC receives the event or alarm and delivers it to you in the form of a notification. The behavioral events and alarms received and displayed by the EAC report whether processes are working. Outcome events and alarms that report the data gathered by DI applications are not ingested or displayed by the EAC.
Events, and therefore notifications, vary by type and severity. An alarm is an event that is assigned a severity of High. For example, a loss of communication to a meter or an agent restart sends the EAC an event with high severity.
