Application server

Before installing IMS, the following software must be installed on all application servers that will host IMS services:

• Microsoft .NET Core Hosting Bundle (6.0.11 or latest version of 6.0.x): dotnet-hosting-6.0.11-win.exe

• Postman: https://dl.pstmn.io/download/latest/win64

  Note: Install on the same machine where the Readings Metadata API is installed.

• Microsoft .NET 8.0 SDK: dotnet-sdk-8.0.303-win-x64.exe

• Microsoft .NET 8.0 Web Hosting Bundle: dotnet-hosting-8.0.7-win.exe

• Required support tools: see Support tools.

Important! A Service Account user with administrator privileges is required to host all services. This user must be part of an administrator group for each machine. To prevent permissions issues, perform all prerequisite steps and installation scripts while logged on to this account.
