IMS mapping files
Important! This section is required for IMS versions below 2.4.24025.1. If installing IMS 2.4.24025.1 or later, refer to Post-installation configuration.
The following configurations of mapping files are required before starting the IMS installation or upgrade process:
-
UOMMapping. A CSV file that contains the UIQ meter ChannelId and ReadingTypeCode mapping. IMS uses this mapping file to convert the UIQ Meter Channel ID to OpenWay UOM using ReadingTypeCode (that is, ChannelId > ReadingTypeCode > OpenWay UOM). This CSV file contains three headers (ChannelId, ReadingTypeCode, and Enabled) separated by a vertical bar character (|).
Important! This file is very important for the UIQ-to-OpenWay on-demand read and scheduled read flow.
A sample file is included as part of the IMS package under Configuration > UOMMapping. This file needs to be updated with the correct information as per the meter configuration in UIQ.
The following is an example of the data in the UOMMapping CSV file:
Important! Be sure to update this file with the proper information before installation. In the case of an IMS package upgrade, this file must be updated before installation; otherwise, it will overwrite the existing configured data.
-
EventAlarmMapping. A CSV file that contains the EventAlarm mapping. IMS uses this mapping file to filter UIQ events and alarms before sending to the OpenWay system. If an event is not mentioned in this mapping file, then that event will be dropped before being sent to the OpenWay system. This CSV file contains six headers: AMMEventName, Active, NormalizedEventCode, Category, NormalizedEventName, and JobType.
A sample file is included as part of the IMS package under Configuration > EventAlarmMapping. This file needs to be updated with the correct information.
The following is an example of the data in the EventAlarmMapping CSV file:
Important! Be sure to update this file with the proper information before installation. In the case of an IMS package upgrade, this file must be updated before installation; otherwise, it will overwrite the existing configured data.
