Configuring the public Web Service Host service

Add the Public Web Service Host application service to each server running the internal web service. When you select Auto-Subscribe on the AMI Collections Systems code table (for the OpenWay Collection System), restarting this service creates a subscription from the IEE server to the Itron OpenWay Collection Engine.

1. In IEE, select System Administration > System Admin > Service Management.

2. Select the appropriate server, and then click Add Service button.

3. From the Service Type dropdown, select Public Web Service Host.

4. In Service ID, enter a unique name for this service.

5. Select a Preferred Server. IEE runs the service on the selected server. You must create a server before you can select it from the list.

6. (Optional) Select an Alternate Server. This server runs the service if the preferred server fails or becomes unavailable.
