xiComm message log
xiComm message log displays all messages that are in the Message Log database. When you open the window for the first time, the default view displays warnings and error messages that are in the database. Informational messages can be viewed by selecting the Informational button in the button toolbar. Any combination of warning, error, or informational messages can be displayed in the window by selecting their respective buttons in the button toolbar, or selecting each category using the View dropdown menu.
The left-hand vertical column includes an expandable list of all workstations that feed messages into the log file. This list can be further expanded to the individual ports on each workstation, when available. A general listing (when appropriate) for each workstation appears, which lists messages that are not specific to a port.
When displaying messages from multiple workstations, a workstation ID (WSID) column appears in the messages list. This column enables you to view messages by workstation ID.
The log also provides the following features:
-
Messages can be sorted alphanumerically according to any of the column types by clicking the column header label.
