Active directory

• The Itron Platform component of Web UI requires an Active Directory (AD) domain controller.

  • In most cases, your IEE system should be deployed in an environment with an existing AD. Configure Web UI to work with the existing AD.

  • If there is no existing AD in the IEE environment, install AD on a machine and configure it as a domain controller.

• The machine on which Web UI components will be installed requires Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above and must be connected to the Active Directory domain.

This guide uses the following domain names in examples:

• Domain: ieeweb.test
• NetBIOS domain: IEEWEB
