Time zone and daylight saving time conversions
The time zone associated with meter data can be stored in different ways depending on the system of storage. Here are some key points to understand:
-
Time representation in IEE is based on the Workgroup time zone setting.
-
Data exported from IEE is based on time zone specified in the task templates.
-
IEE does not adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST). This is implied based on the time zone for the meter entity.
The MV90 Recording Device has a field for time zone adjustment. This field is used exclusively by xiComm when comparing meter time against system time and time set functions.
The following graphic and table follow the path of collected data through Service Mode and C&I solutions and how that data is interpreted during the import process.
