Service Mode services on the IEE application servers
The following Microsoft® Windows® services must be installed and running on the IEE application servers. These services are critical for interactions with the IEE Service Mode server. The log files are stored on the IEE application server in the following location \Program Files\Itron\Enterprise Edition\logs.

Service Mode MDM Task Monitor Service |
Scans for tasks in IEE and pushes the tasks to the Service Mode server defined as an external system in IEE. |
Prevents any remote interrogation tasks from being transmitted to Service Mode servers. |

Service Mode MDM Configuration Monitor Service |
Scans for configuration updates in IEE and pushes the updates to the Service Mode server. |
Configuration changes in IEE will not transfer to the Service Mode server. |

Itron Application Service |
The Itron Application or base service runs on each application server and includes the Logging Service. |
If the Logging Service fails, the log messages are only reported in the ItronEE_ IeeAppServer.log . |
