SAP sender business system IDs

In implementations with multiple SAP systems, IEE can receive requests from different systems for the same data. You can configure IEE to identify the SAP system that created a request so that IEE can address the response to the correct SAP system.

IEE can identify the SAP system in one of the following ways.

• IEE can append the full SenderBusinessSystemID value in SAP to the meter or service point ID in the request.

• You can map each SenderBusinessSystemID value in SAP to a short code in IEE MDUS. IEE then appends the short code to the meter or service point ID in the request.

The SenderBusinessSystemID or short code is stored with the meter or service point ID in the IEE MDUS database. When a request arrives, IEE appends the full SenderBusinessSystemID or short code to the meter ID or the service point ID in the request. After the response is compiled and addressed to the correct SAP system, IEE removes the SenderBusinessSystemID or short code.
