The following sections describe installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 and configuring Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
Install and configure in the following sequence:

Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.

Install and configure Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). This is required for web services to host the web services in Internet Information Services (IIS) for MDM.

Configure the .json and .svc mime types in the IIS Manager Handler Mappings to support the IEE Web Client online help and web services.
Caution: If you install IIS after installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8, you will receive the following server error message: "Failed to Access IIS metabase."
To correct this issue, from the Windows command prompt run the following: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319>aspnet_regiis -i
Start installing ASP.NET (4.0.30319).

Finished installing ASP.NET (4.0.30319).
Note: IEE server applications running on Windows 2008 Server require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.
