Mass market import and export adapters

IEE manages import and export adapters in the Request and Response processes.

The Request process moves the meter reading request from the billing system into IEE, and then the collection system. It includes the following IEE adapters:

• IEE Billing Import Adapters translate read requests from billing systems and save these requests into the IEE database’s Work Collection schema. Internal logic assigns dates and internal identifiers for future processing.

• IEE Collection System Export Adapters create files to export to the request-based collection systems.

The Response process moves the collected meter readings from IEE to the billing system. It includes the following IEE adapters:

• IEE Billing Export Adapters prepare billing export files based on data saved in the IEE Reading and Work Collection tables. Billing export files contain any routes, accounts or meters that have complete readings available within the read schedule window.

• IEE Collection System Import Adapters receive import files from collection systems and save the reading data to the IEE Reading and Work Collection schema.
