Configuring IEE advanced metering infrastructure

This chapter describes the tasks required to configure IEE Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The AMI components include:

• AMI Readings Import

• AMI Billing Export

• AMI Communications

• AMI Data Export

• Net Metering

  The following sections contain the AMI-specific configuration settings common to all AMI components, followed by the component-specific settings. You must configure IEE Meter Data Management (MDM) prior to configuring the ARI configuration process or any other IEE applications.

Note: Read the IEE Configuration Guide chapters for each of the IEE applications before you begin the MDM configuration process. The application- specific chapters contain information that can help you optimize settings and parameters as you configure MDM.
