Configurations are not replicated
Issue
When changes or updates are made to the Meter, Recording Device or MV90 Recording Device entities in IEE, the changes should automatically replicate to the Service Mode server. Updates to any other configuration entity is not monitored or replicated. The frequency that configuration changes are scanned and pushed to the respective Service Mode server is based on the Service Mode xi Configuration Polling Interval setting in IEE located at System Administration > System Settings > System Behavior Settings IEE.
Resolution
If changes are taking longer than the time in seconds specified by this parameter, verify that the ServiceMode MDM Configuration Monitor service is running on the IEE application server.
If the service is running, review the associated logs and check for any errors. If the errors reference a connectivity issue and SMXI services are running properly, restart the Service Mode server and IEE application server to resolve the issue.
A remote interrogation task should not fail on the Service Mode server because the configuration does not exist. When a remote interrogation task is pushed to a Service Mode server, SMXI Configuration Monitor service confirms that the configuration exists. If the configuration does not exist, the configuration is pushed and the remote interrogation task is scheduled.
When you restore a Service Mode server where the databases may be blank or cleared, you can usually push configurations at a rate of 11,000 configurations per hour, depending on the version of IEE and the installed hardware.
Additionally, if the Service Mode Active setting is set to False, changes to the Meter, Recording Device, and MV90 Recording Device entities will not be flagged as a change in the Configuration table that the Configuration Monitor scans looking for changes.
Also be sure that each interval channel has an associated register channel that is associated with a Meter Reading channel set.
