About route hierarchies
Typically, route information is organized in a hierarchical structure that assigns each route to a specific district or meter reading office where the meter readers and vans are staged for meter reading. The Route hierarchy is a flexible ordering of values that is unique to each utility. Once you define the hierarchical order and names, the values for each level are stored in the IEE database as attributes of the route. These attributes are then used for searching, sorting and filtering on reports.
