Creating the task template for submitting settlement data

Use the following process to create templates for submitting Settlement Data to the markets:

  1. Go to System Operations > Task Management > Task Templates.

  2. From the Task Type dropdown menu, select Send Settlement.

  3. From the Task Template dropdown, select the appropriate template or click Add to create a new template. For more information on creating templates, see Adding task templates.

  4. From the Entity Type dropdown, select Settlement Point, Settlement Zone, or Settlement Market as appropriate, and then click Search.

  5. Search for the desired settlement market, point, or zone ID or IDs.

  6. Click to select the desired ID in the Available IDs pane.

    To select multiple IDs, press the CTRL key while clicking on the desired IDs.

  7. Click to move the selected IDs into the Selected IDs pane.

    To remove an ID from the Selected IDs pane, select the ID and click . The ID is moved back to the Available IDs pane.

  8. In the Other parameters section, complete the following fields:

    1. From the Settlement Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate type.

    2. From the External System dropdown menu, select the appropriate system.

    3. From the Output Time Zone dropdown menu, select the appropriate time zone.

    4. In the Export Directory field, click Search to select the appropriate directory.

    5. In the Output Format field, select XML, Json, or CustomFormatter (the CustomFormatter option allows you to define the desired output format).

      If you selected CustomFormatter, click the ... button next to the Xslt File field and navigate to the XSLT file for the file format you want, and then click OK.

      Note: To verify that the file exported correctly, navigate to the file location, and view the file.

    6. In the Processing Mode field, select Single, Batch, or BatchWithFailOver to specify how the web service will send the payload.

      Single. When this option is selected, IEE will send each Settlement Point ID data individually.

      Batch. When this option is selected, IEE will send the Settlement Point ID data in a batch based on the batch size.

      BatchWithFailOver. When this option is selected, IEE will send the Settlement Point ID data in a batch based on the batch size; however, if the batch fails to submit, IEE will automatically send all the Settlement Point ID data in separate payloads - one Settlement Point ID per payload.

    7. In the Batch Size field, enter the batch size parameters. For example, if your batch size is 2, and there are 5 settlement points, IEE will send 2 settlements points in the first and second batch, and the remaining settlement point in the third batch.

  9. Click Save. You can select the task template to set up a recurring schedule when you select the template in the Task Scheduler.

    Use the Task Monitor to view the status of the SendSettlement task logs the same as you would any other service.
