Banked data queue

Accessible from the main menu under Data quality, the Banked data queue interface provides a table of unprocessed reading files that are grouped based on reason and entity type.

Important! You must have the View Banked data queue permission to access the Banked data queue interface.

Queue operators use the Banked data queue to view unprocessed reading files that were sent to the Banked folder for the different entity types. Readings can go unprocessed for several reasons, such as invalid configurations, mismatched interval lengths, and missing information. Operators can correct unprocessed reading files that come into the queue and manually resubmit for reprocessing.

Note: Unprocessed reading files that have been successfully resubmitted for processing are removed from the queue.

The interface consists of four tabs (by default, the first three tabs are disabled):

  • AMI Billing Export Queue (disabled)

  • AMI Data Export Queue (disabled)

  • Validation Queue (disabled)

  • Banked Data Queue (enabled, the number of files is displayed on the tab)

The table consists of the following columns:

  • Reason banked. Contains the reason the unprocessed reading file was sent to the queue.

  • Received date. Contains the date the unprocessed reading file was received. When you initially load the Banked data queue interface, the queue is populated with data received for the prior day up to the current day, and the calendar is enabled from beginning of time (BOT) to end of time (EOT).

  • Reading start date. Contains the reading start date for the unprocessed reading file. When you select a start date and click Apply, the calendar closes. By default, the reading start date is blank, and the calendar is enabled from beginning of time (BOT) to end of time (EOT).

  • Reading end date. Contains the reading end date for the unprocessed reading file. When you select an end date and click Apply, the calendar closes. By default, the reading end date is blank, and the calendar is enabled from beginning of time (BOT) to end of time (EOT).

  • Entity type. Contains the entity type (Service Point, Meter, Recording Device ID, and Endpoint) for the unprocessed reading file. You can select multiple entity types from the dropdown menu. By default, All is selected. When you select an entity type other than All, the entity ID is required.

  • Entity ID. Contains the entity ID for the unprocessed reading file. The entity ID is only required when a value other than All is selected for the entity type. By default, the entity ID is blank.

  • UOM

  • Channel ID

  • Channel type

  • Last date submitted

  • File name

Note: One filter must be selected at all times in the table. The filter criteria selected will persist until changed. The settings remain intact after you sign out and are available when you sign in again.

Tip: To refresh the current table view to reflect the most recent data, select Refresh () in the table. Additionally, the data in the table updates whenever new filter criteria is selected and applied.

The table supports the following controls:

  • To change the sort order, select any column header to sort by that attribute. An up arrow appears in the column header, indicating that the sort is in ascending order. No arrow indicates the default sort order. Select the column header again to switch to descending order, indicated by a down arrow.

Tip: The horizontal and vertical scroll bars appear when additional rows and columns are added to the panel.

  • To adjust the width of any column, drag the edges in the column header. To view any text that has been truncated due to width constraints, hover over the text to reveal a tooltip with full text.

  • To reorder the columns, drag a column header to the preferred location in the table.

  • To pin any column to the left or right side of the table, hover over the preferred column header, select Menu (icon), and select Pin Column. Then select Pin Left or Pin Right. To remove a column pin, select No Pin.

Tip: From the same menu, you can also reset the column width for either the current column or all columns. Select Autosize This Column or Autosize All Columns.

  • To hide columns or to restore hidden columns, hover over any column header and select Menu (icon).

In the dialog that appears, select Columns (icon) to view the column-selection tab.

Clear the columns that you want to hide and select any hidden columns that you want to restore to the table. After making your selections, click anywhere outside the dialog to close it.

Note: Primary columns can be reordered but not hidden.

  • To reset the columns and clear all changes to the current view, hover over any column header, select Menu (icon), and select Reset Columns.

Selecting the Actions menu () in the table provides the following options:

  • Download. Select one or more items in the Reason banked column, and then select Download. An Excel file (.xlsx format) is saved to your browser's configured download location. This option is disabled when there is no data to download.

  • Submit for reprocess. By default, this option is disabled. To enable this option, select one or more items in the Reason banked column, and then select Submit for reprocess. The Submit selected for reprocess dialog appears. The number of items you have selected for reprocessing displays in the message. Click OK to continue or click Cancel to stop.
