Assigning a service point channel to a validation set

Typically, validation sets are linked to service point channels by using the program-based configuration XML API. The API provides an efficient way to link validation sets with hundreds and thousands of service point channels. However, IEE also allows you to link validation sets to service point channels while creating the validation set.

Linking Service Point Channels to Validation Sets

1. Go to Meter Data Management > Validation > Validation Sets.

2. If you know the Validation Set ID, enter it in the Validation Set box and click Build Tree. To select from a list of all validation sets, click Search. Then click a validation set and click OK. Enter the validation set name or search for and select the validation set.

3. In the Validation Set tree, click Linked Channels. The Service Point Channel pane appears. If the validation set is already linked to service point channels, the channels are listed in the table. Use the filters to view a subset of linked channels. For more information, see Viewing service point channels linked to validation set.

4. Under the service point channel list, click Add. The Search Utility dialog appears.

5. Use the Search Utility to find the service point. For more information, see Using the search utility.

6. Select the service point channel and click OK to add it to the list.
