Check meter estimation

Check Meter replaces intervals marked as ESTNEEDED (Estimation Needed) with the corresponding intervals from the designated reference channel on the same service point.

The reference channel is associated with the main meter load channel through the redundant channel set entity in the service point configuration. Interval, register, formula, and imported channels that are stored in the IEE database are allowed as reference channels.

If the reference channel uses a different interval length, IEE converts the interval length to the interval length of the main metered load channel. If the reference channel interval has a status of Power Outage, Missing, or Failed Validation, the reference channel is not used for estimation. If the reference channel contains the same value as the main metered channel that failed validation, the reference channel value is not used.

Note: IEE does not check for physical property differences, such as multiplier differences between the reference channel and the main channel.
