Previewing validation results

You can preview validation without saving the results to the database. For example, if you edit the data that failed validation, you can preview the new validation results before submitting the edited data for reprocessing. If the edited data still fails, you know that the edit did not resolve the queue item and can take additional steps toward resolution.

1. Right-click an entry in the queue.

2. Select Preview Validation.

   IEE runs any validation sets with the Run type of Manual or Inline. IEE does not run On Cycle validation sets during preview validation operations. Validation sets can be configured to have a Run type of both Manual or Inline and On Cycle. For more information, see Creating or editing a validation set.

3. View the validation report. You can save or print the report.

4. To return to the validation queue, click Validation Queue on the Meter Data Management workbench.
