Benefits of application server hosting

IEE application server hosting provides the following benefits:

• Allows you to manage services directly in the IEE rich client user interface.

• Services that perform data import require the ability to write out a file readable by a service running in the IEE application server. If the service is hosted in IIS, it needs permission to be able to write to a directory that the application server can access.

• The failover of application server hosted services works the same way as the rest of the IEE failover system. Network load-balancing hardware or software is required to provide true failover.
