Read type

This code table defines values for the types of readings collected by a meter register, such as total kWh or peak kW.

Configuring the Read Type Code Table

1. Go to System Administration > System Admin > Code Table Setup.

2. From the Code Table Selection list, select Read Type Code Table.

3. Use the Number of rows to insert on add dropdown menu to select the number of blank rows to add to the code table.

4. From the Code Table Setup menu, click Add. The new rows appear in the table.

5. Click to select each blank row added and configure the following parameters:

   • ID

   • Description

   

   Note: MV-90 Register Types are defined in the MV-90 Read Type Definitions code table.

   MV-90 Read Type Definitions

   For instances where IEE uses MV-90 readings data, IEE requires the following definitions of register types in the Read Type Code Table:

   V—Visual energy readings

   D—Visual demand and energy readings.

   E—Encoder register readings (energy only).

   B—Both encoder and visual energy readings.

   C—Calculate stop meter readings from the encoder base reading. This reading will be used as the start meter reading, and the encoder reading will be updated with the calculated stop meter reading.

   M—Readings are in Meter Readings File (Single and Multi-meter).

   P—Pulse register readings (if supported by the device). Currently implemented in the PSI S100 and S200 TIMs. The P-type will use the pulse multiplier in place of the meter multiplier for calculations and display on reports.

   1. Enter the letter of the register type in the ID field of the Read Type Code Table, and a definition of the register type in the Definition field.

   2. Click Save. IEE may give you a warning that the ID field requires more than one character in the field, but you will still be able to save these definitions to the database.

6. Click Enter to save the values to the code table.

7. Click Save.

Note: After updating any code table, you must restart the IIS service for the changes to take effect.
