Introduction

Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE) Meter Data Management (MDM), commonly referred to as IEE, is a flexible platform of data collection, storage, management, and processing for utilities and their customers. IEE's core functionality is meter data storage and management. IEE MDM builds on that foundation with additional functions such as meter data collection, validation, estimation, calculations, and analysis. In addition, IEE supports legacy billing systems by managing the interaction between data collection and the billing systems.

IEE has a modular structure built around various workbenches. Each workbench provides either Core workbenches common to all installations or an optional function that provides targeted meter data processing. This architecture offers the ability to customize the structure and functionality of IEE to meet specific needs, as well as to provide for future growth and capabilities.
