Mozilla Firefox language settings

If using the Mozilla Firefox browser, use the following procedure to confirm or change your default language and locale:

  1. Select the browser's menu () and select Options. On the General tab, scroll down to the Language and Appearance section. Your current language and locale selection display in the Language section.

    If the current language and locale selection is correct, no further action is needed. If your wanted selection is in the dropdown menu but not currently selected, make your selection and skip to step 5.

  2. If your language and locale preference is not currently listed, select Search for more languages from the dropdown menu.

  3. In the dialog that appears, open the Select a language to add dropdown menu and select the wanted language and locale.

  4. Select Add, and then click OK. The new selection now appears under Languages.

  5. Click Apply and Restart.
