Configuring a time of use schedule

  1. Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Time Of Use > Time Of Use Schedules.

  2. From the Time Of Use Maintenance dropdown menu select Add Schedule. Or click the Add Schedule icon .

  3. In the input fields below the TOU Schedule tree, configure the TOU Schedule.

    • Time of Use Schedule ID. The primary identifier for a particular TOU schedule. TOU Schedule IDs cannot start with a numeric character. For example, "400_TOUSchedule" is not a valid ID. Instead, name the ID "TOUSchedule_400".

    • Description. A more specific description than the TOU Schedule ID.

    • Time Zone. The time zone that applies to this TOU Schedule.

    • Start Date and End Date. Define the time span this TOU Schedule remains in effect. TOU schedules include seasonal periods in their configuration, so do not use the Start Date or End Date to define an individual season. Instead use these parameters to define a larger TOU period, such as several years.

    • Holiday List. Select the holiday list that applies to this schedule (holiday lists must be created before you can associate them with a TOU schedule).

  4. Right-click the new Time of Use Schedule in the TOU tab and select Add Season.

  5. Enter the Time of Use Season ID (for example, Heating Days) and a Description.

Note: Seasons can only occur within a single calendar year. If a season runs over a year-end boundary, a calendar year includes two instances of that season. For example, if the winter season runs from December through February, define your TOU schedule to have two winter seasons—one season from January through February, and the other season from November through December.

  6. Right-click the new Schedule and select Add Block.
