Service point channel entity
The service point channel entity represents a data channel for a service point. A channel is a measurement of the energy that is delivered to the customer. Channels enable the measuring of different units at the same service point. Examples of channels that are measured at a service point include kWh, kW, and kVARh.
A service point can represent either data that is collected from meters or data that is calculated from other meter or formula data in the system. In most cases, the reference and use of data from a given service point channel are independent of its origin. You can generally perform the same business operations regardless of whether a service point channel is metered, calculated, or imported. Service point channels are the main entry point into the system and are used to specify channels on which to report, export, and import.
