Create a program: Event defaults tab

The Event Defaults tab defines which values populate the Issue Event screen in the Web application of IEE. Settings on this tab are optional.

To create a curtailment program (continued):

  1. On the Event Defaults tab, select or enter values for the following parameters:
    • Use Default Settlement Period. Select this checkbox to set a default settlement period for all events for this program. From the dropdown menu, select Hourly or Entire Event. You can make changes for individual events, but the settlement period you enter here is the period displayed on the Issue Events screen for this program by default.
    • Use Default Price. Select this checkbox to set a default price per unit of commodity for all events in this program. Enter a dollar amount in the field. You can make changes for individual events, but the price you enter here shows up on the Issue Events screen for this program by default.
    • Use Default Penalty Price. Select this checkbox to set a default penalty price per unit of commodity for all events in this program. A penalty price is the price per unit of commodity over the baseline or firm demand level that the customer will pay if the settlement method results in a negative value. You can make changes for individual events, but the price you enter here shows up on the Issue Events screen for this program by default. Enter a dollar amount in the field.
    • Use Default Event Times. Select this checkbox to enable default start and end times for all events in this program. Select a Start-Time and End-Time (24-hour time format) from the dropdown menu. You can make changes for individual events, but the time you enter here is the time this program uses by default.

      Optional: Set ClosedRespond By and ClosedDelay Notice Until times.

The operator can make changes for individual events, but the time entered here shows up for this program every time. You can select a specific time (24-hour format) from the dropdown list.

Select this checkbox to set a default respond-by time for all events in this program. The operator can make changes for individual events, but the time entered here shows up for this program every time. You can select a specific time (24-hour format) from the dropdown list.

    • Use Default Message. Select this checkbox to set a default message for all events in the program. The default message displays in the notices users receive. The operator can make changes for individual events, but the text you enter here shows up for this program every time. Enter a default message in the text box.

      Do not use special characters such as, < > ( ) + - [ or ] in free-form text fields.
