Troubleshoot IDM routing
To troubleshoot issues suspected to be caused by the Import Data Manager (IDM) operation, the user can evaluate log information about the received data and its processing. Some use cases for troubleshooting might be:
- Investigate why a data routing program is not working as intended.
- Why a specific channels data is not being imported.
- Investigate where a data file is routed to.
The following list is an example of some of the logged information that can be used to troubleshoot IDM routing issues:
- originating file name
- entity id
- channel identification
- addressing method
- time range of date
- time received
- reading type (register/interval)
- destination filename
- immediate export filename (if applicable)
- routing function performed
This information can be retrieved by the user through the use of SQL queries of the data tables such as:
- IDM Operational Log
- File Inventory
- File Inventory Segment
For more information about the data table information, see the IEE Data Dictionary.
