AMI reading import (ARI) performance considerations
Configuring ARI for best performance depends on your system configuration. Each environment is unique. Itron recommends that you begin with one multi-threaded IDM Service, using three threads. However, depending on the speed of your configuration, two triple-threaded IDM services might render the best ARI performance.
ARI is running at optimal performance, when the configured Validation and Estimation (VE) services are continually processing workbin files. The VE services should not be sitting idle.
When using Standard Reading Import - Enhanced (SRI-E), the recommended one multi-threaded IDM Service, using three threads is sufficient.
