Creating static groups

Use static groups to define a fixed group of entities. Any action performed on the group applies to every entity in the group. You can save static groups for future use.

Access the Group Maintenance window from the IEE Meter Data Management workbench.

1. Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Advanced Configuration > Group Maintenance.
2. Click Add.
3. In Group Properties, enter a Name for the group.
4. Optional: Enter a Description for the group.
5. From the Group Type dropdown menu, select Static.
6. In the Entity Type dropdown menu, select the entity type for all group members (account, customer, meter, or service point, or service point channel).
7. After defining the Group Properties, click OK.
8. The Entities pane displays below the Group List. Verify that the newly created group is highlighted in the Group List and click one of the following buttons below the entities pane: Add, Remove, Find, Import, or Export, and complete the queries.

   Add allows you to query for entities to add to the group using parameters. This functions similarly to the queries that define a dynamic group.

9. Right-click the created group and select Save.
