Detailed interactive grid view

The Interactive Grid view provides a detailed listing and description of each event and entity based on the Group By selection. Using the grid view, you can interactively sort and filter the data in the detailed report.

Note: The workgroup setting ClosedMax. Events to Retrieve for Device Event Report limits the number of events that can be retrieved for the detailed report.

Defines the maximum number of events that IEE can retrieve for the Device Events Report. If the number of events that meet the filter criteria exceeds this limit, the latest events are retrieved. You can retrieve older data by changing the date values for the Start and End date of the report.

The Summary view of the Device Event Report is not limited by this setting unless you are saving or printing the Summary report, then the limit is enforced. However, if this setting is set above 1000, the performance of the drill-down option to view detailed data is affected. For best performance, do not set this setting above 1000.

To access this setting:

  1. Go to System Administration > System Admin > Security Setup > Workgroup.

  2. From the Workgroups tab, select the workgroup in the lower pane to display additional tabs.

  3. From the Properties tab, navigate to the Reports section.

Only detailed reports can display in the Interactive Grid view. You must select Detail as the Report Type then Interactive Grid is an option in the Send Data To field.

To create the following report, we selected the following options on the Report Setup tab:

  • Entity Type: Service Point (Default)

  • Service Point ID: FakeGap

  • Time Period: Date Range

    • Start Time: 8/01/2000

    • End Time: 8/01/2012 24:00

  • Time Span Type: Import Time

  • Event Type: Alarm

  • Report Type: Detailed

  • Grouped By: Event (Event Code)

  • Device Type: Meter

  • Filter: Select All

  • Send Data To: Interactive Grid
