AMI Readings Import (ARI) cleanup task

This task starts three sub-tasks, which run in parallel to purge data from gap fill interrogation (GFI) tables and file inventory tables as they relate to ARI.

The ARI cleanup sub-task that deletes GFI data purges GapFillRequestMessage tables.

The ARI cleanup sub-task that deletes file inventory data purges the following files and database tables:

  • XML files from the file system and records from HVRIEntityMessage, FileInventory, and FileInventorySegment for each configured Import Data Manager service.

  • Work Bin files from the file system.

  • CleanReading files from the database server and the associated records from HVRIEntityMessage, FileInventory and FileInventorySegment.

Create a task template for this task containing the chunking parameters appropriate for your system. Configure a recurring schedule to define the frequency, schedule type, and holiday schedule. Then assign the task template to the Recurring schedules overview. Schedule this task to run after the ARI data collection window (DCW) ends and the estimation process finishes.

Use the following procedure to configure the ARI Cleanup task:

  1. Go to System Operations > Task Management > Task Templates.

  2. From the Task Type dropdown menu, select ARI Cleanup.

  3. Configure the following parameters. The IEE installer populates many of these parameters with default values. The default value might not be the recommended or optimal setting for your specific IEE implementation. You must tune these values to achieve optimal system performance.
