Custom billing data quality checks

IEE can perform as many as five custom data quality checks on interval data. You define a unique name for the check, the reading status to count, and the threshold that determines whether the data passes or fails.

The threshold is a percentage of the total number of intervals in the request item. If the request item includes a higher percentage of that reading status than the threshold allows, the request generates an exception and appears in the AMI billing export queue.

Configuring Custom Data Quality Checks

  1. Go to System Administration > System Admin > AMI Billing System Settings.

  2. In the Custom Data Quality Checks pane, select the checkbox of a custom check to enable it.

  3. Select the Reading Status ID from the dropdown menu. IEE runs the custom check on all readings within the billing export request that have this status.

  4. In the % Threshold column, enter the percentage of data with that reading status that will trigger an exception. Enter a whole number or a number with a decimal value. Do not include the percent sign (%).

For example, to set a threshold of 2.5 percent, enter 2.5. If 5 percent of the data for a request item has the specified reading status, the request fails and generates an exception. If 2 percent of the data has the specified reading status, the request does not fail this custom check.

  5. In the Data Quality Name column, enter the name that IEE will use to identify this data quality check in the response file and in exception messages. This name must be unique for each external system.

  6. Click OK to save the settings. Click Cancel to cancel the settings without saving them.
