Resetting password on initial login
The system administrator can configure the system to prompt new users to reset their password after their first login attempt. This prevents users from using the password that the system administrator initially provided as their official password. For this feature to be enabled, the password policy must be enabled on the Rich Client.

Go to System Administration > System Admin > Password Policy and click the Enable checkbox.

Click the toolbar icon to save this change.
Note: To enable this change on the web client, you must restart the IIS Application Service after enabling the password policy on the Rich Client.

Create a new user and check the User must change password on next logon option.
This option is available when creating new users on the Rich Client under Security Setup > Security User or on the web client under Manage Users.
When that user logs in for the first time, the system prompts them for a new password.
