Meter program

A meter program stores configuration properties that apply to large numbers of physical devices. Every meter instance based on a meter program inherits all of the properties set in that program.

A meter program includes:

• Program Summary Pane:

  • Meter Program ID

  • Market Type

  • Description

  • IsEnabled

  • Category

• Meter Pane:

  • Manufacturer

  • Model

  • Device Type

  • Meter Capabilities (for example, the meter supports pings, on-demand reads, and meter connects/disconnects)

  • Collection System ID

  • Time zone (can be overridden at the instance without changing the program)

  • Interval and Register Channel Configuration (for example, interval length, UOM, register channel, number of dials and decimals, register display code, and truncation factor).
