Collection system integration
Collection Systems Integration (CSI) is the end-to-end process of requesting and receiving meter readings from multiple sources and providing extracts and operational reports to billing systems. IEE integrates multiple collection systems and stores data in a central repository for use in reports, billing, and exporting to external systems. The CSI process is made up of following tasks:
-
System Administration. Set up system parameters, code tables, and security.
-
System Operations. Set up, schedule, manage and monitor tasks, and create task templates.
-
Configuration. Set up customer attributes, system parameters, reporting criteria, and route attributes.
-
Request Processing. Manages movement of meter reading requests from the customer information system to IEE's collection systems.
-
Data Capture. This part of the schedule represents storage of the meter readings, status codes and changes that are collected during the meter reading process.
-
Response Processing. Manages the transfer of collected meter readings from IEE to the CIS for billing purposes.
-
Applications. Create user-defined calculations and set up validations specific to register data.
-
Reporting. End users can view reports that address the both the data in the repository as well as status information during the process of collecting and distributing requests and readings.
