Creating an interruption cause

  1. On the Electric page, click the Reliability Analysis tab.

  2. In the Interruption causes table, click Create.

  3. In Name, type the name of the interruption cause with up to 50 alphanumeric characters. The interruption cause name must be unique. This will appear in the Analytics Portal user interface.

  4. In Description, type a description of the interruption cause with up to 250 characters.

  5. (Optional) Modify the Enabled checkbox.

    • Select the checkbox to make the interruption cause selectable in the Analytics Portal user interface. This is the default.

    • Clear the checkbox to not allow the interruption cause to be selectable in the Analytics Portal user interface.

  6. (Optional) Modify the Include in Index Calculations checkbox.

    • Select the checkbox to include interruptions with this interruption cause in reliability index calculations. This is the default.

    • Clear the checkbox to not include interruptions with this interruption cause in reliability index calculations.

    Note: Interruptions that do not have an interruption cause assigned to them are included in reliability index calculations.

  7. Click Update.

  8. Click Update.
