Creating a group type

On the Group Types page, click Create.

Type the full name of the area group type in Group Type.

Type the name of the area group type to be shown in the table in Display Name.

(Optional) Select the Shared checkbox to allow the contained groups to be viewed by other users. The Shared checkbox is cleared by default.

(Optional) Select the Unique Membership checkbox to restrict service points to only one group in the group type. If the service point is assigned to a different group, it will automatically be removed from the current group. For example, if a service point is assigned to Route 100 in the Route group type, and then is assigned to Route 200 in the Route group type, it will be automatically removed from Route 100 in the Route group type. The Unique Membership checkbox is cleared by default.

(Optional) Clear the Manual Editing Allowed checkbox to disable modification of groups contained in the group type using the Analytics Portal. This requires changes to be made using a Master Data Import file. The Manual Editing Allowed checkbox is selected by default.

(Optional) Select a commodity type from the Commodity Type menu. If no commodity is selected, groups containing service points from any commodity can be included in the group type.

Click Update.
