Data Value Maps

The Data Value Maps page is located under the Platform Administration menu. Use this page to create mappings that allow imported data values from MDI, CRF, and other XML files to match the expected data values in the Itron Analytics software. For example, you could map the Unit field of the Channel entity in a DEH file to a value that Itron Analytics is expecting. This feature is helpful when an external system's default values do not match the default values in Itron Analytics. For more information, see Internal values for data value maps.

To edit a data value map:

1. On the Data Value Maps page, click Edit for the data value map you want to modify.

2. Click Create.

3. In From Value, type the value as it appears in the external system. This can be found as a tag in the XML file.

4. From the To Value menu, select a value that Itron Analytics is expecting. This can be found as a tag in the XML file.

5. Click Update.

6. Click Update.
