Meter Tools
The following commands are specific to the Meters Module and are available on the Tools Menu.
Meter Program Configuration
Meter Program Configuration
This command opens the Meter Program Configuration dialog. This dialog allows the user to configure Meter Programs, which are used to define the list of Channel Types. This dialog is only available in systems that have Channels enabled, i.e. the ChannelsEnabled System Setting is True.
Channel Types
Channel Types define the list of available Channels in the system.
ChannelID. This field is the name used to identify the Channel Type. The name should be unique.
Description. The Channel Type description text.
System Channel. This field specifies if the channel is a system channel. If true, System Channel Type must be specified.
System Channel Type. If System Channel is True, the System Channel Type. The following types are supported:
Historical. This channel will store the total historical data for the meter prior to when channels were configured for the meter, i.e. data prior to which data is available at the channel level. Data missing for this channel will not cause the meter total data to be flagged as incomplete.
Net Metered Load. This channel is required in the two stage solar smoothing algorithm described in the Regression Settings section of the Model Specifications Module. This channel will store the net metered load data for the meter.
Smoothed Consumption. This channel is required in the two stage solar smoothing algorithm described in the Regression Settings section of the Model Specifications Module. This channel will store the smoothed consumption data for the meter, calculated by MetrixIDR using the solar smoothing algorithm.
Solar Generation. This channel is required in the two stage solar smoothing algorithm described in the Regression Settings section of the Model Specifications Module. This channel will store the solar generation data for the meter.
Priority for Total. The priority for the meter total. This feature is not currently implemented.
Is Formula Channel. This field specifies if the channel is a formula channel. If true, the Formula field must contain the formula to use for computing the channel data.
Formula. If Is Formula Channel is True, the formula to use for computing the channel data. Channels can be computed from other channels by specifying the Channel ID in the formula. In addition to the Channel ID, the formula also supports basic arithmetic ( + - * / ).
