Scenarios Subtab

On the List Tab, when a SAE Set row is selected and expanded, an embedded set of subtabs is shown. The first is the Scenarios subtab. This allows the user to define SAE Scenarios by combining different inputs for Shares, Efficiencies, Month Factors, and Coincidence factors. At least one scenario must be defined. Fields on the Scenarios subtab are:

  • SAE Scenario ID. A unique text identifier for the SAE Scenario.
  • Share ID. This is a reference to a set of end-use Shares defined in the Shares Tab of the Tools > SAE End-Data dialog. These data are annual values that represent fuel shares, saturation levels, or equipment density levels through time.
  • Efficiency ID. This is a reference to a set of end-use Efficiencies defined in the Efficiencies Tab of the Tools > SAE End-Use Data dialog. These data are annual, and a trend toward higher efficiency implies a trend toward lower energy use in the SAE model.
  • Month Factor ID. This is a reference to a set of end-use Month Factors defined in the Month Factors Tab of the Tools > SAE End-Use Data dialog. These values are used as multipliers for cooling and heating responses and as allocation factors for uses other than hearing and cooling.
  • Coincidence Factor ID. This is a reference to a set of end-use Coincidence Factors defined in the Coincidence Tab of Tools > SAE End-Use Data dialog. These values are used as multipliers to translate monthly energy model inputs into inputs for the customer peak (NCP) and high load hour (HLH) models.
