Forecast Monitor UI

This category contains the following Forecast Monitor UI configuration items. Changes to any of these settings require a restart of Forecast Monitor.

Chart. Forecast Monitor chart configuration.

  • Y2AxisScalingFactor. The scaling factor used for the second y-axis.
  • Y2AxisTitle. The title for the second y-axis.
  • Y2OriginColor. The color used for the second y-axis origin grid line.

Display. Forecast Monitor display configuration.

  • DiffStatLogic. The logic for computing the Forecast Diff column. Options are PublishedMinusForecast or ForecastMinusPublished.

  • ErrStatLogic. The logic for computing the Forecast Error column. Options are PublishedMinusActual or ActualMinusPublished.

  • FlashStatusBarOnError. If set to true, the entire status bar will flash red if a new error is written to the MetrixIDR Event Log.
  • FlashStatusBarOnWarning. If set to true, the entire status bar will flash yellow if a new warning is written to the MetrixIDR Event Log.
  • NewAlertSound. If set to true, an audible alert will be played when new alerts occur in Forecast Monitor. If set to false, no sound will be played when new alerts occur.
  • ShowIncompleteLastActuals. If set to true, the latest incomplete actuals are displayed in Forecast Monitor. If set to false, only the latest complete actuals are displayed.
  • ShowIntervalSettlementPeriod. If set to true, settlement periods are displayed. If set to false, settlement periods are not displayed.

Forecast View. Forecast Monitor forecast view configuration.

  • AllowBiasEditOutsideWindow. If set to true, the bias is editable outside the forecast window.

  • FillFcstWithActual. If set to true, the forecast is filled with Actuals if available.

  • ShowMarketRunTime. If set to true, a Market Run Time column is displayed to the right of the Date column in 1 or 2 day view. This column is computed by adding a static number of seconds to the Date column. The number of seconds is configurable in the Market Run Time Seconds field for the Forecast Type.

General. Forecast Monitor general configuration.

  • RefreshInterval. The number of seconds between data refreshes in Forecast Monitor.
  • StatusBarTextSize. The size of the text in the status bar, in points.

  • ToolBarIconSize. The size of the toolbar icons, in pixels.

Grid. Forecast Monitor grid configuration.

  • DirtyForecastBackColor. Column header background color for dirty (modified) forecast data.
  • ExcludedBackColor. The background color for data marked as excluded or bad.
  • FilledBackColor. The background color for data marked as filled.
  • GridBackAlpha. The default cell background transparency.
  • IncompleteBackColor. The background color for data marked as incomplete.
  • LoadControlBackColor. The background color for data marked as load control.
  • LoadEventBackColor. The background color for data marked as load event.
  • ReadOnlyBackAlpha. The background transparency for read-only data.
  • ReadOnlyBackColor. The cell background color for read-only data.

Publish. Forecast Monitor publish configuration.

  • AllowSingleZonePublish. If set to true, users may publish for a single zone, subset of zones or all zones. If false, only all zone publish is allowed.
  • DisableEditInAutoPublish. If set to true, the forecast cannot be edited when auto-publish is on. If set to false, the forecast can be edited when auto-publish is on.
  • DisableManPubRejectInAutoPublish. If set to true, the reject button is disabled when auto publish is on. If set to false, the reject button is enabled when auto publish is on.
  • NumHistoricalForecasts. The number of historical published forecasts displayed in Forecast Monitor.
  • PublishedDiffMethod. The method used to calculate the diff column. The options are VsForecast and VsPreviousPub.
  • RequireUserComments. If set to true, user comments are required when publishing a forecast, toggling auto-publish on/off, and when entering a bias. If set to false, user comments are not required when publishing a forecast, toggling auto-publish on/off, and when entering a bias.

Summary. Forecast Monitor Summary configuration.

  • EnableSummaryView. If set to True, the Summary View is enabled and is viewable through the user interface via the View menu. If set to False, the Summary View is disabled and is not viewable in Forecast Monitor. The default is set to False.

Validation. Forecast Monitor Validation configuration

  • Diff1Color. The color used for Forecast Diffs above the threshold specified by the Forecast Diff 1 validation for the Zone, but less than the threshold specified by the Forecast Diff 2 validation, if configured.

  • Diff2Color. The color used for Forecast Diffs above the threshold specified by the Forecast Diff 2 validation for the Zone, but less than the threshold specified by the Forecast Diff 3 validation, if configured.

  • Diff3Color. The color used for Forecast Diffs above the threshold specified by the Forecast Diff 3 validation for the Zone.

  • Error1Color. The color used for Forecast Errors above the threshold specified by the Forecast Error 1 validation for the Zone, but less than the threshold specified by the Forecast Error 2 validation, if configured.

  • Error2Color. The color used for Forecast Errors above the threshold specified by the Forecast Error 2 validation for the Zone, but less than the threshold specified by the Forecast Error 3 validation, if configured.

  • Error3Color. The color used for Forecast Errors above the threshold specified by the Forecast Error 3 validation for the Zone.

Zone List. Forecast Monitor Zone List configuration.

  • DateDiffAlpha1. The transparency for actuals one interval out of date.

  • DateDiffAlpha2. The transparency for actuals two or more intervals out of date.

  • DateDiffColor1. The background color for actuals one interval out of date.

  • DateDiffColor2. The background color for actuals two or more intervals out of date.

  • NegativeNumColor. The text color for negative values.
