Weather Zones Tab

The Weather Zones Tab configures the weather zones. A weather zone is a weighted average of two or more weather stations and may be used like a Weather Station. The tab contains the following fields:

  • Weather Zone ID. The weather zone identifier.
  • Description. This is the description field.
  • Export. This field indicates whether to export data for this weather zone when the ExportWeather (Integration (Table-Based Exports)) task is executed.
  • Send to Monitor. In systems with the Forecast Monitor Module, this field indicates whether to send data for this weather zone to Forecast Monitor.
  • Config Last Updated. The date/time that the weather zone configuration was last updated. This field is read only and automatically updated by the system.
  • Custom Fields. The custom fields allow users to provide additional descriptive information for record keeping, sorting, or filtering the list.

The list of weather zones can be expanded (+) or contracted (-) to manage viewing the weather zone contributors. When expanded, the Contributor characteristics are shown. Field highlighted in gray are characteristics from the Contributor source and may not be edited. The fields are listed below.

  • Node Type. The source node of the Contributor. This field is read only.
  • Contrib ID. The ID of the Contributor. This field is read only.
  • Description. The Contributor description. This field is read only.
  • Weight. The contributor weight. The Weather Zone calculates the weighted average of Contributors values. The weight field is the user assigned weights for the calculation. Typically, the sum of all Contributor weights is equal to 1.0.
  • Custom Fields. The custom fields allow users to provide additional descriptive information for record keeping, sorting, or filtering the list.

Weather zone contributors are managed using the Insert Contributor and Remove Contributor actions on the toolbar.
