Weather Stations Tab

The Weather Stations Tab configures the weather stations. Weather stations are used in the forecast and model estimation process. In Version 7.1 or higher, the user can specify valid concepts for each weather station. The valid concepts are displayed as child rows in the Weather Stations Tab. The tab contains the following fields:

  • Weather Station ID. The weather station identifier.
  • Description. This is the description field.
  • Import ID. The unique identifier used to find weather station data when importing data.
  • StnFile. This field identifies the weather station file name in the standard weather import routines.
  • Latitude. The latitude of the weather station. This field is used to determine sunrise and sunset times.
  • Longitude. The longitude of the weather station. This field is used to determine sunrise and sunset times.
  • Elevation. The elevation, in meters, of the location. This field is required if Solar Insolation is computed for the weather station.
  • Time Zone. The time zone of the weather station. This field is used to determine sunrise and sunset times.
  • Cloud Albedo. A station specific value for us in computing dark sky and cloud adjusted solar insolation. If no value is provided, the default value in the system settings is used.
  • Use DLS. This field indicates whether the station data uses daylight savings time.
  • Export. This field indicates whether to export data for this weather station when the ExportWeather (Integration (Table-Based Exports)) task is executed.
  • Send to Monitor. In systems with the Forecast Monitor Module, this field indicates whether to send data for this weather station to Forecast Monitor.
  • Data Last Updated. The date/time that data was last updated for this weather station. This field is read only and automatically updated by the system.
  • Custom Fields. The custom fields allow users to provide additional descriptive information for record keeping, sorting, or filtering the list.

Actions

Weather station contributors are managed using the Insert Contributor section and Remove Contributor section actions on the toolbar (Version 7.1 or Higher).

The Weather Stations Tab has an additional action available when in LT Mode.
