Manage Tasks Menus
The Manage Task window has four Menu Items. The Task Menu and View Menu actions are available on the Toolbar.
File Menu
- Close. Closes the dialog.
Task Menu
This menu provides access to options to Add, Edit, and Delete tasks, to Enable or Disable tasks, and to Run or Kill Tasks. The following actions are available.
- Add Task. This option brings up the Add Task dialog, which is discussed separately below.
- Edit Task. This option brings up the Edit Task dialog which presents the settings and arguments for the selected task.
- Delete Task. This option deletes the selected task. A confirmation dialog informs the user that this action will unassign the selected task and delete the task from the database. Press OK to confirm the delete.
- Enable Task. This sets the Enabled status to True. Enabled tasks will run according to the scheduling parameters.
- Disable Task. This sets the Enabled status to False. Disabled tasks will not be run by the system until they are enabled.
- Run Task. This starts the task manually.
- Kill Task. This kills a task that is currently running.
Server Menu
Manages Server allows the user to assign application servers to a specific task or to unassign a server from a specific task.
- Assign Server. This option brings up the Select Server dialog, which contains a list of application servers that have been registered with the database.
- Unassign Server. This option will unassign the selected server from the specified task.
View Menu
Views manually refreshes the view and changes the viewing options
- Refresh. Refreshes the View.
- Tiles. Changes the view to show tasks as Tiles.
- Icons. Changes the view to show tasks as Icons.
- List. Changes the view to present the tasks in a list.
- Details. Changes the view to present the tasks in a list with a full set of characteristics.
