Run Command

The Run Command Dialog allows a user to configure a command line to execute from within MetrixIDR. The Run Command option is accessed on the System Menu. Select this option to open the Run Command dialog, which presents the list of configured commands. Options on the dialog allow the user to Add or Delete a command, Edit a command, or Run a command.

When a command is executed from within MetrixIDR, the result will be the same as if the command is executed directly from the Windows command line (CMD.exe). The text of the command line controls the application that is run and contains the command line arguments for the application.

Commands stored in MetrixIDR have three fields:

• Name. Internal name of the command, which must be unique in the database.
• Command. The text of the command for the application to execute and its arguments.
• Start Directory. The path from with to execute the command.

• Add.
• Edit.
• Delete.
• Run Command.
