Test Mode Operations
Test Mode Operations are designed for use with a prover station to test and ensure metering accuracy on gas meters. These meters are supported:
-
OpenWay Riva Intelis Gas meter, both Mobile and Network mode
-
OpenWay Riva Intelis 250/425 Gas meter, both Mobile and Network mode
Note: In Mobile mode, both the Endpoint ID and Utility ID are required. In Network mode, only the Endpoint ID must be provided.
Test Mode Operations accesses the following operations:
-
Enter Test Mode
-
Exit Test Mode
-
Configure Test Mode
View the endpoint's current configuration values for test mode timeout, pulse weight, and pulse width. Enter new values and click Program Test Mode. The Test Mode Register Result screen displays the corrected test indexes.
-
Test Mode Register
With the prover station connected to the meter, perform the Test Mode Register command to determine the meter's accuracy. The test mode results are displayed on the prover station.
-
Adjust Calibration
The adjustments you make to the calibration depend on the prover station test results that were obtained during the Test Mode Register command. Before you can perform the Adjust Calibration command, you must unseal the meter and run the meter on a prover station to determine the meter's accuracy. During the Adjust Calibration command, you must enter values from the meter's test result. The workflow uses the entered values to calculate the required calibration parameters. Prompts help you input valid values.
Note: Field Tools does not allow a meter in test mode to be calibrated. Exit Test Mode, perform the calibration, then seal the meter.
The meter can take up to 45 seconds to complete the calibration. After you complete the Adjust Calibration command, you must use the separate Seal Meter command to re-seal the meter.
-
View UMU Calibration (Network mode only)
View the caligration points calculated based on the inputs from the Adjust Calibration task.
-
Get Seal State
Obtain the meter's current seal state (Seal or Unseal). This is useful for confirming that you successfully re-sealed the meter after adjusting its calibration and performing the Seal Meter command.
-
Seal Meter
Re-seal (lock) the meter after testing and recalibration are complete.
