Conversion Check

This operation is provided to help utilities while they're in the process of switching their devices from the OpenWay Riva network to the Gen6 Riva network. Since the device's labeling is unchanged, it isn't easy to tell which network the device is using.

1. Before performing the check, a network conversion check file must be loaded to your laptop, tablet, or smart phone. The file is provided by Itron and may be named Riva to GenX Audit Script-signed.xml or something similar. This file is located in the FDM Server Client under Endpoint Configuration > selected endpoint > Riva or Network tab > Arbitrary Command Script File tab.

2. In Field Tools, after opening a session with the device you're checking, click Browse and locate the XML file.

3. Click Proceed.

   Field Tools displays the results onscreen and sends the results to the Device Commands Log.
